Carolyn McWilliams Brown grew up in Houston, Texas on a street called Kimberley Lane. It was a place where the neighborhood kids roamed from house to house and the mommas were forever borrowing cups of sugar. She graduated from Baylor University with a BS in Education and an MA from The University of Colorado. After teaching in Texas for several years, she continued her career at the American School in Shanghai, China. While on an airplane, she met her future husband and they now reside with their three children in Tennessee. They live on a modern-day Kimberley Lane where the kids once again, roam from house to house and the mommas are still swapping cups of sugar (and sometimes mac and cheese).
